According to carbon content and use, carbon steel plates can be divided into three categories: low carbon steel, medium carbon steel and high carbon steel. Low carbon steel has a carbon content of less than 0.25% and is mainly used to make some thin plates and light components; medium carbon steel has a carbon content of between 0.25% and 0.6% and is mainly used to make some medium strength components and mechanical parts; high Carbon steel has a carbon content of more than 0.6%, has high strength and hardness, and is mainly used to make springs and blades.
